How C3 Powerhouse Supports the Community Beyond Sunday Services
We love to serve the Sunshine Coast community and have several community initiatives we operate and support. We strive to take care of our local community as a haven for those in need.
C3 Powerhouse’s Mission and Vision
Our vision is transformed lives. We know sometimes that means more than just spiritually, and are committed to supporting our community in practical ways.
Our Sunshine Coast Community Care team shines God’s love with no strings attached. We are passionate about seeing people set free and feeling the love and support of their local church community.
Community Outreach Programs on the Sunshine Coast
Our churches community service groups are split into a few different categories, with different days and times for volunteers to serve.
- Red Frogs Program – reaching into our local university community, to bring practical support to university students during O-week and throughout the study term. We cook pancakes, make noodles and offer a safe and supportive place for university students to connect and chat.
- Homeless Hub – we go into the local Sunshine Coast homeless hub every fortnight to make breakfast for the residents there. It’s more than just breakfast, it’s about offering a friendly conversation and love for people doing it tough.
- Christmas Hampers – Every year our church donates thousands of dollars towards Christmas hampers for our community. They are full of groceries and goodies for families in need over the holidays.
- Compassion Australia – We sponsor children living in poverty overseas, providing them resources for food, shelter and education.
- Youth Group – every Friday night during the school term we run a youth program. The kids learn about Jesus, make friends and get to have fun!
Our Rewarding Volunteer Opportunities
If you are interested in volunteering, you can contact C3 Powerhouse directly to find out more about our programs and what’s involved. We would love to find a role that you are passionate about based on your interests and skills.
We believe that serving our community grows our faith, and creates a welcoming atmosphere that changes people’s lives.
C3 Partnerships and Collaborations
Our Red Frogs and Compassion initiatives are run through other partnered organisations that do this work all over the country and beyond.
We also work in partnership with many other local organisations, like IFYS and the chaplaincy program who often refer families in need to our programs.
Testimonials & Stories from the Community
A message from volunteers:
“If someone comes to you without a smile, give them one of yours”
“I love that you get to make a difference in the lives of people who have it tough, it’s such a privilege to be able to give generously to young people, and to be a light in the community”
